The One True Faith Always Present, Oft Ignored;
Promises Man the Spiritual Plane: Hermetic Alchemy
For millennium Man remained fractured by competing religions promising the true path to…what? In the beginning it was not so; then there was only one true faith. Christ made all in Heaven and Earth according to the Father’s plan from the essence the Father created ex nihilo (Col 1:15-20). A schematic representation is given in Genesis’ first chapter (Ge 1). From Man Christ brought forth Woman to form a complete unity in faith with Himself (Ge 2:21-25). Christ was not into deception or brainwashing; He did not wish mindless obedience. Christ warned Man that he could encounter knowledge apart from Him; knowledge that would not only destroy their unity but would result in eternal separation in judgment; i.e., Death (Ge 2:16-17; Re 20:11-15). When Satan came calling offering access to this godless knowledge, he promised, he lied, saying it would make them as gods (Ge 3:5). They could rise beyond their physical body barrier and enter the spiritual plane of being; i.e., gods, like Christ. The reality was very different filled with fear, guilt, degradation and violence (Ge 3:6-13; Ro 1:18-32; 3:10-18). Man grasped at Satan’s proffered faith to assuage his sin apart from Christ. Hermeticism was begun based on the promise of Alchemy {Change} gained through special knowing or Gnosticism. Sin had awoken and Woken Man hated his Maker!
I propose several assumptions which is the scientific method. One always begins with assumptions that are assumed to be true to build a hypothesis and test, measure, if it is congruent with recalcitrant reality. However, even the soft sciences stray from this strict empiricism so I ask the same indulgence as you read this post. Much of this material is not empirical but, as God said, “Come, let us reason together…” to arrive at the truth of a matter (Is 1:18).
Assumption One: Satan is finite, spiritual and not made in God’s image; i.e., he does not know the mind of God and struggles to Control Man who is more closely made in God’s image (Ge 1:26-27; Jn 4:24; He 1:14). Satan is not omniscient. He does not have absolute knowledge of how spiritual/physical forces function and function together.
Assumption Two: Satan is a fallen being; therefore, what knowing he did possess is degraded by sin which demoted him from reflecting God’s glory to being a grotesque reflection of his former self masquerading as, an angel of light (Is 14:12-15; Ez 28:12-17; 2Co 11:13-15). This also holds true for all sinners who are in the clutches of sin and death (Jn 8:44; Ro 3:23).
Assumption Three: Satan, and I also include his fallen angels or demons, cannot control this physical creation unless directly allowed by God-Christ though he is a great motivator of using sinners to accomplish his tasks, even without their direct knowledge (Job 1:13-19).
Assumption Four: Satan has one plan and has never veered from that plan which he articulated to Woman; to entice Mankind to sin and thus prove that God-Christ is unfit to judge him since all Christ created, angels and men, have sinned. Thus, Christ is the author of sin and not the individual, and He must judge Himself as guilty! He is the Gnostic’s Demiurge who created physical creation which trapped its inhabitants in physical bodies from which they must escape; i.e., to be as gods (Ro 3:3-8).
Assumption Five: History is simply a record of Satan working out his plan using Man as pawns for his own escape from judgment’s fires. Satan uses logical fallacies: appeal to the majority, authority, to anything but God’s Word; false dilemmas; etc. to lead reasoners to embrace his schemes while rejecting Christ’s atoning sacrifice for their sins (2Th 2:3-12).
Modern Man’s Science is little more than
Alchemy Stripped of its Spiritual Language
Alchemy simply means change, based on its writings. The ancient texts are written in a form that its very strange to us today and thus considered as naive, laughable and even ignorant. However, Ancient Man wrote from a different worldview, from a different perspective which appreciated the unknowable forces more than modern man. Modern man defines energies by their effects but cannot define energies by their essence. Ancient Man did not discern these forces as blind affects of matter but as emanating from the spiritual. As they were lost people, they rejected God-Christ as their source and sought an ethereal origin that could be invoked by enchantments; i.e., magic. Even Sir Isaac Newton refused to believe that the forces he was articulating were being generated from simple matter. It was the failure of natural philosophy to unify truth that brought about the division of science from philosophy. Science became the manipulation of blind forces emanating from physical creation without any spiritual aspect. While ancient man could at least comfort himself by appealing to gods or goddesses for help, modern man is left helpless before blind, unpredictable chance without any appeal for mercy except to godless governments hellbent on enslaving them. I wonder who is the more foolish?
Briefly stated, Hermeticism is the single faith of Satan that threads throughout man’s history promising change, alchemy, based on special knowing or gnosis utilizing the Dialectic of Opposites to facilitate the process of change. This process degraded during the Medieval period as ignorance gave way to greed and deception gained priority over knowing. Yet, even as corrupted as Hermetic alchemy became, it wound its tendrils into every culture, into every faith and even corrupted early Christianity resulting in the medieval period being known as the Dark Ages. The Greeks were the prime facilitators of inoculating major cultures with hermeticism from Egypt to Europe to Middle East and into India from whence it entered the Orient. However, it was especially fruitful in the West.
Western Science, arising from alchemy’s scientism, made great strides in discovery and controlling physical matter. This made possible the rapid expansion of mechanization that blossomed into today’s digital revolution and tomorrow’s nanotechnology upon which hinges man’s transition from fleshly form into posthumanism’s techno-form on its way to hermetic’s spiritual form or plane. Yet, sterile science needed direction to stay on course; i.e., it had to be goal-directed which gave rise once again to scientism.
Hegel was the Mind that Married Hermetic Alchemy
To Science via the Dialectic: Today’s Wokeness
Why does any of this matter to us today? Because Satan never changes his goal or his plan. He modifies it as needed but he ever aims for the goal of unifying Man against God in hopes of staying his own judgment. Hegel was the great disciple masquerading as a philosopher but actually a hermetic believer redirecting philosophy from its sterile Kantian error and back to its true mission. He preached the Dialectic method: Thesis begets the Antithesis or opposite and through synthesis arrives at a better solution via Synthesis. This forms the heart of Critical Theory. Once you grasp this then you understand that Critical Theory is not a philosophy but an ancient religion reborn in modern jargon; but for what purpose? Well, Marx, as a disciple of Hegel, tried to bring Hegel’s top-down spiritual hermeticism into the practical realm by advancing a bottom-up economic hermeticism: Socialism. But, Marx’s socialism required adjustments which was provided by Gramsci, Frankfurt School and others during the 20th century; it was too brutal, inefficient and prone to failure; i.e., it was not workable. Critical Theory made it workable with financier banking backing.
The World Economic Forum’s Great Reset is nothing more than the promise of bringing all mankind to the next hermetic level of growth. Make no mistake, it requires a village; i.e., it demands that everyone participate for the change to manifest itself completely. Leave no one behind is its only motto. It has only one rule: To Win. If you do not go alone you will not get alone and you will be left behind; in the grave. While it promises a brave new future, it will not hesitate to use force to eliminate opposition. This is Satan’s way. Just as Cain murdered Abel to eliminate his competition, the Great Reset will eliminate its detractors through Control of Central Bank Digital Currencies. You will own nothing and be happy or you will starve, be homeless, be denied medical care and eventually even life itself in the name of religious, spiritual advancement.
Thus, this one faith has always existed out of the Fall of Man and will continue to exist until Creation ends (Re 20:1-10). Its outward forms have varied and splintered but in these Last Days these splinters are being reforged into one new faith to oppose the True One Faith of Christ. Belief in anything but Christ is to embrace the Hermetic snare being drawn tightly about you regardless of your society. This is a religion and has with ALL works-based religions you either submit or you die! Hermeticism’s promise of Light hides its surety of Death. Only in Christ is there hope of Life in eternity future (Re 21:1-8).
