Delusion’s Ultimate Delusion of Self-Good

Delusional Trap of Missing the True Delusion of Self as Good

Delusion’s Ultimate Delusion of Self-Good;
Doing What is Right in One’s Own Eyes

Paul describes God as sending, or allowing, people to believe Satan’s strong delusion so they will believe what is not Truth; i.e., The Trinity is Truth (Jn 4:24; 14:6; 15:26; 2Th 2:9-12). But, this is not a new revelation for the Bible early on showed that people do what is right in their own eyes; that is, they do what they have decided is truth for them (De 12:8; Ju 17:6; 21:25). The Bible makes the case that to follow one’s own way as true is the mark of a fool rebelling against God (Pr 12:15; 21:20). One’s own imaginations is the mark of a child and according to Hollywood, especially Disney, adults should return to the mind of a child to embrace goodness (Ge 6:5; Pr 22:15; 1Co 13:11). In reality, this keeps one trapped in Satan’s ultimate delusion and labeling God as evil (Is 5:20; Mal 2:17; Jn 8:44). Postmodernism is not a new philosophy but an ancient lie begun with Original Sin in the Garden and continues without variance into our future (Ge 3:5).

Marcus Aurelius as Plato's Philosopher-King of Good

Marcus Aurelius: Plato’s Philosopher-King
Logical Fallacy; he was the Measure of True

Marcus Aurelius‘ statement begs the issue of Identity or, as Pilate more aptly stated, “What is Truth” (Jn 18:38)? Christ had just told Pilate that He had come into the world to bear witness to Truth and those who hear his voice, understand His purpose, is of the Truth (Jn 18:37). Pilate could not hear the Truth because he was not of the Truth; i.e., he rejected Christ as Truth and became complicit in Jesus’ murder on the stauros for our salvation (Ro 5:6-11).

Plato’s philosopher-king was legitimately, by today’s standards, a fascist dictator guiding people according to his perception of truth regardless of their beliefs and irrespective of individual outcomes as long as the greater good is obtained. This is the foundation of modern Woke culture based on Critical Theory. Notice that these popular belief systems do not openly define their goals preferring instead to use ill-defined terms such as inclusiveness and equity under the guise of abolishing elitism, capitalism and inequality. Each person defines these terms in relationship to their own situation beginning with themselves as the epitome of good. Any deviation from what is right in one’s own eyes is necessarily evil.

Thus, like Marcus Aurelius, it is nearly impossible to convince anyone of truth because truth is me! For a person to be convinced that they are not truth means they must see themselves as evil! the Bible clearly states that no one hates their own self (Ep 5:29a). But again, this violates reality because one’s perception of truth is already biased (Ro 1:18-28)!

Ultimate Delusion: Consider One's Self as Good

I have never met a person who
Defines themself as Evil; All are Good!

The Bible writes, “…all have sinned…” (Ro 3:23). This same passage earlier quotes from the Old Testament that every person is not only unright but also refuses to seek after God’s rightness: every single person (Ro 3:10-18)! We deceive everyone, even ourselves. We are full of anger, bitterness and hate peace even cursing the God of Peace who came to bring us Peace (Lk 2:8-14; Ro 5:6-8). We are biased in that without Salvation, without Christ’s indwelling New Nature in us, we define truth as anything but God (2Co 5:17). Our truth comes from what we observe even though it is incomplete because it ignores what we cannot perceive (He 11:1-3).

We know we do this because each of us judges other people as inferior to ourselves, except for those who believe as we do and can help us maintain our self-delusion of goodness (Ro 1:32-2:8). As Paul clearly writes, far from showing us as good, it reveals our sinfulness and evil by projecting our evil onto others who are more deserving of judgment than ourselves {for each of us are good in our own eyes}. One measures oneself by one’s group of similar sinners perpetuating our own delusion (2Co 10:12). So, why diid Paul write that God sends the Delusion?

God, and Christ, allow you to live in your own Delusion; i.e., God gives you up or allows you to create a culture based on rules without Him and His Truth. Sinners want a world without God so God allows them to create societies as they see fit; though He does still maintain control of natural laws even though these often contradict with sinner’s belief systems of how nature should function {Recalcitrant Reality} (Mt 5:45). These societies cater to man’s baser fleshly desires resulting in violent, degrading cultures proudly displaying their depravity as goodness. America has been no exception.

Satan as Imitator Deluding even Himself as being Good

Satan’s Imitation is not Sincere Flattery;
A Measure of Depraved, Empty, Lost Soul

Lost man betrays himself and his cultures by confiscating God’s Ten Words as the basis of his own laws; well, maybe six of these word-laws (Ex 20:12-17). The first four are used to justify compliance with one’s own definition of god even if that is man. In point of fact, man is his own god just as Satan promised Woman (Ge 3:5). Only god can define goodness. God defines Good as what is consistent with His nature. Evil is rebelling against God’s standard. Satan and Lost Man cry this is unfair and wish to define good according to their own lost, corrupted nature. Yet, even as Cain discovered, society cannot be built on lies, murders and thefts as it quickly devolves into survival of the fittest (Ge 4:1-17). Thus, lost man claims to arrive at his own moral code but it strangely looks similar to God’s except that it does not work. Degradation and violence are not controlled except through executions and prisons and the world grows more wicked as time progresses (Mt 24:3-12).

Our time is again a measure of self-delusion. The Western nations that tried Hitler’s Germany for crimes against humanity have no fear of perpetuating these same crimes themselves on a global scale. Their self-serving plandemics brought wide-spread death to the infirm and elderly while their promise of healing vaccines induced mortality and morbidity onto the health who were relatively immune! This contrived emergency concentrated Control in the hands of the few while amassing obscene profits in the coffers of the elitists who masqueraded as champions of the masses upon whom they fed without mercy.

But, beware of those who claim to reveal the deception without also embracing the Truth of Man’s sin and need for a Savior. They only seek their own Control wresting it away from those of whom they are jealous. They also are false shepherds who only desire to feed on the helpless for their own gain (Jude). This world has always accepted Delusion in place of Truth. More modern people scoff at the delusions of the Ancients while excusing their own which are far worse and more degrading. Christians must be about the work of teaching and living the Gospel Truth for it is on this we will be judge as faithful or unfaithful (Mt 28:18-20; 2Co 5:10). Are you living in His Truth or lost in a differing delusion such that when you stand before Him you will be ashamed (Mt 7:21-23)? What is your Truth?
