Understanding True Jewry – Talmud Education Day in America

Talmud Defined

The Twin Foundations of Talmud
Not Understood by Many Christians

Many Christians are under the impression that Jews, especially the “religious” Jews, are strictly bound by the Old Testament Pentateuch; however, this is far from the truth in that most forms of Jewry are governed by the Talmud.

The above graphic succinctly defines the two parts of the Talmud: the Misha (Oral Law) and the Gemara (Commentary of the Oral Law). Oral Law? What is the Oral Law?

According to their own works God gave the Oral Law to the Elders of Israel while Moses received the Torah (Written Law). The Oral Law is considered the more important and revered. There is no record of this in the Scriptures. Thus, the errors and rebuttals of God’s Torah to Moses form the traditions that Christ condemned in the Gospels and for which the Sadducees and Pharisees had Him murdered.

Jesus Condemns Traditions

Mt 15:1-3
Christians are not aware of the traditions

It is quickly apparent that there exists a tension between God and the people from Exodus 19 on. I discuss this at length in my lessons on Exodus and invite you to follow along for a more complete discussion than can be elucidated in a post.

So, how does this affect me, you might ask? Well, the implementation of Education Day and reinforced from every president since President Carter is not simply a declaration of the need for education in America and the world. Education Day is a call for morally educating children based on the Talmud and more specifically that which the Talmud has designated as the “Noahide Laws”. What are these? Simply put, these are a set of seven laws that the Talmud has said is the basis for all human relationships to include governments. Supposedly these come from Genesis Two but the only source of this is the Talmud. The Seven Laws are:

  1. Prohibition on idolatry
  2. Prohibition on blasphemy and cursing God’s name
  3. Prohibition on murder
  4. Prohibition on stealing
  5. Prohibition on immorality and forbidden sexual relations
  6. Prohibition on removing and eating a limb from a live animal
  7. Establishing a justice system and courts to enforce these laws

While these may sound Christian, they definitely are not Christian. In fact, they are very anti-Christian, and every other religion also. One of the problems is that the Talmud, on which these Laws are based, teaches that Jesus was a blasphemer and worship of Him would be considered blasphemy and punishable by the courts these laws would establish. This in effect would replace national laws with Jewish Talmudic or Pharisaic Law. Thus, the entire purpose of Education Day is not to support secular education but to support world unity through the Torah as interpreted by the Talmud. The group, Chabad-Lubavitch Rebbe, has set up a world-wide network of “learning centers” to instruct everyone on the correct understanding of these basic Noahide Laws.

The problem for America is that our president’s have committed us as a nation to this course of action. Not only has America denies being a Christian nation in the Treaty of Tripoli but since 1991, America has recognized these Noahide Laws as being the basis for “ethical values and principles for all civilized society since the dawn of civilization. America’s education system has slowly changed to promote these universal beliefs both here and abroad. Though each succeeding president has become more vague about the Noahide Laws, none have repudiated them. In fact, they have broadened the emphasis to include Gnostic values which is also contained in parts of the Talmud as the Kabbalah.

Now, before some readers run amok with their favorite conspiracy theories and rants I want to be very clear that I am not seeking to demonize anyone or any group of any faith. I see the hand of Satan at work in the world allowed by the grace of God. We are to be watchful so that we are not caught unawares and embarrassed when Christ calls us. We can announce the trends but we cannot, with any specificity, announce the end and should not fall into the trap of attempting to do this for Christ clearly said no one would no the end. I am not in that camp. However, I do believe that Christians should announce when the Gospel is actively threatened so that those less mature in the Word can be made aware and prepare themselves accordingly by prayer and study. Christians are to promote the Gospel and not the suppression of anyone, leave justice to the Father Who will act according to His will and at His appointed time.

What I see occurring is the Harlot, (worldly) Jerusalem positioning herself as the seat of an international governing system through her established monetary and media resources until she is no longer needed then she will be thrown down to be replaced by the unifying faith of Gnosticism (Re 11:8; 14:8; 17).

In summary, my desire is not demonize a group or call for action against anyone. I wish to equip the Saints through study of the Word so that everyone can discern current events by God’s Word and grow in maturity through the living and teaching of the Gospel message of salvation to others. We cannot do this unless we understand how others use or misuse the Bible. Some are simple ignorant of proper hermeneutics while others are purposeful in their persuasion of many to error. I would not want to see anyone misled and teach from my own mistakes and experiences.

The Hebrews of the Old Testament are an example to Christians on how to not use the Bible; yet, Christendom since the time of Christ has faithfully followed their example and fallen into their trap. Church history is replete with examples of those who made their own tradition or sought power rather than grace resulting in the slaughter of countless millions. Unless we study how error occurs, we will promote error thinking we are doing “good” when we are in fact doing the opposite. Paul taught this same approach and we can do no less (Ro 9-11).
