How Can I Know God?

How to Know God?
How Can I Know God?
By Yourself: No! In Christ: Yes!

John begins his revealing of the vision received from Christ via a heavenly messenger, angel, by acknowledging Christ as the Faithful Witness above all other qualities. At first blush one may assume that Christ is faithfully transmitting the revelation He received from the Father and is giving to John. However, it is this type of narrowly focused thinking that gets readers confused when reading the Revelation of Christ. My mind wandered back to John’s Gospel, which I had studied a couple of years ago, and I realized that there was a much larger concept at work in this passage that transcended this apocalyptic revealing of Revelation. Indeed, it lay at the foundation of the Bible and the question of this post. Continue reading “How Can I Know God?”

Science: Hubris of Ignorant Control

Science: Hubris of Ignorant Control;
Ignores Science’s Limits Embracing Ignorance

Today’s mantras “Follow the Science;” or “Science says;” and even “Scientists says” which are supposed to shut down those who appear to oppose Science. I submit that those who repeat such dribble are themselves guilty of the ignorance they ascribe to their detractors. Each of the mantras above, so common in journalism and everyday conversation today, contain logical fallacies. Man, since the age of Modernity, has surrounded himself with the religion of Science in order to justify his ignorance of God. Thus, the true Modern Man: Hears nothing from God; Sees nothing of God in nature nor Speaks nothing about God for Science is his only god. Modern Man uses Science to justify his rejection of God while vilifying those who exhibit faith in God. They put their ignorance on display while decrying the Christian’s ignorance (Ro 1:18-28; 2:1-5). Those who worship Science require more faith to cling to their ignorance than those they oppose. Why is There Law and Justice?

Woman Beginning of Order

Woman’s Quest of Knowing Begat Disorder;
Disorder Begat Violence and Led to Laws

Satan’s deception to Woman, that she could be as God if she could obtain knowledge apart from God began the march into sin, chaos, disorder and death (Ge 3:1-7) {Ancient Battleground: Tree of Knowledge}. Woman raised her first son, Cain {Given of God}, to be the promised conqueror of Satan to return them to their pre-sin state; an impossibility (Ge 4:1-8). However, Cain descended into complete chaos and disorder and murder Abel, the Weak One, whom he was to protect when God chose Abel as patriarch instead of himself {God Offered Cain Control}. Cain left God’s presence and formed his own government in the Land of Wanderers {Nod}. Why, Laws?

Ancient Battleground: Tree of Knowledge

Tree of Knowledge Swallows Itself

Ancient Battleground: Tree of Knowledge
Fought by Lying Words of Eternal Death

The usual interpretation of Original Sin revolves around the fallacy that God withheld knowledge from mankind whilst Satan, Prometheus, promised man the gift of knowledge to make man, and woman, equal with God. This is certainly coherent with a simplistic reading of the text Ge 2:17; 3:1-5, 22). This pits God against Man over Control of Knowledge. When Man attempts to obtain knowledge, God punishes all mankind with death; physical death now and eternal death later. From this mythology enters modern man with Enlightened Science which finally promises to free the Chosen Few from the bonds of death while they enter a glorious future of their making. The heroes of this myth are Plato, Aristotle, Galileo, Newton and Einstein which its fundamental villains are Bible believing Christians wallowing in superstitious ignorance trying to hold mankind back from their Star Trekian future; or Star Wars for the more Gnostic minded. But, is any of this actually true? Continue reading “Ancient Battleground: Tree of Knowledge”

Ouroboros: Truth of Gnosticism

Ouroboros: Ancient Symbol of Truth
Unifying Mankind into one Body of Believers

The ouroboros is the ancient symbol of a snake, dragon, forming a circle by clasping its tail in its mouth. As the above graphic depicts, this symbol depicts all mankind unifying into a single body of belief through the commonalities of the various world religions that rely on works of the flesh for proof of man’s goodness and righteousness. It is the symbol of Gnosticism, the new faith of the coming False Prophet that will unite all mankind into receiving the prophet of the dragon, the Antichrist. False Premise: Chasing One’s Tail

Premises Determine the Conclusions
False Premises Yield False Conclusions

Last week’s post (Fallaciousness of Autonomy) began with the premise that Lucifer beguiled Woman into accepting a false premise leading to a false conclusion that led to her making a fateful decision to sin. This week I want to explore this relatively simple but profound concept and its implications for all of us today. Continue reading “False Premise: Chasing One’s Tail”

Tree of Knowledge, Death, Life

Ouroboros Triad
Dragon – Satan

Snake – Man
Tree of Knowledge

As I sat to write this final post of the Ouroboros Triad I had to step away for some reflection. The focus of many is on the tree. Was it an apple, a pomegranate, or was it something that had nothing to do with the type of tree at all?  The issue is not the tree, the issue was, and is, the knowledge of good and evil.
